ubiLdpFailoverCfmEnable

Module: UBQS-MPLS-LDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): UBQS-MPLS-LDP-MIB::ubiLdpFailoverCfmEnable

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7800.100.24.3.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: set the attribute of Connectivity Fault Management(CFM) in LDP. If you set this field, LDP creates the socket (AF_CFM) to detect whether the link associated with the peer is UP or DOWN. After set this attribute, You MUST enable the property for CFM in the interface which you want to check the connectivity.

What is ubiLdpFailoverCfmEnable?

This value enables Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) integration in LDP, causing LDP to create an AF_CFM socket to detect whether the link to a peer is up or down; CFM must also be separately enabled on the specific interface being monitored. Admins enable it to get faster, CFM-based link failure detection feeding into LDP's failover behavior rather than relying solely on LDP's own hello/keepalive timers. Enabling it without also enabling CFM on the relevant interface would not provide the intended fast-failure detection for that link.
