Category: Link Layer and Ethernet Protocols

Description: Manages TP-Link switch LLDP per-port transmit and receive configuration parameters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TPLINK-LLDPCONFIG-MIB?

TPLINK-LLDPCONFIG-MIB is a TP-Link proprietary MIB configuring LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) on TP-Link managed switches (built on the vendor's TPLINK-LLDP-MIB/TPLINK-TC-MIB). Its objects cover global enable state, transmit interval/TTL/delay/init-delay, trap enable, and a fast-count setting for initial discovery, alongside a per-port table controlling admin status, SNMP-notification enable, and which optional TLVs (description, capabilities, management address, VLAN/protocol-VLAN/VLAN-name, link aggregation, port status, max frame size, power) are advertised. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm LLDP is enabled with the correct set of advertised TLVs per port. It is deployed on TP-Link managed switches. Engineers can download the TPLINK-LLDPCONFIG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TPLINK-LLDPCONFIG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • TP-Link managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks lldpConfigPortTlvManageAddr to confirm a port is advertising its management IP address via LLDP, which downstream network-discovery tools rely on.

What Can Be Monitored

  • LLDP enable state and per-port TLV configuration
