What Is TN-ETHSOAM-PM-MIB?
TN-ETHSOAM-PM-MIB is a Transition Networks proprietary MIB (extending TN-ETHSOAM-MIB/TN-EVC-MIB) implementing Performance Monitoring for Ethernet Services OAM (Y.1731-style loss/delay measurement). Its session-configuration table records session type, mode, storage mode, and interval, a transfer-configuration table sets when/how collected data is uploaded to a server (schedule hours/minutes/offset, random offset, server address, interval mode/number, include-incomplete flag), and a loss-measurement (LM) history-stats table records interval end time, elapsed time, and transmitted-count per historical interval. As a performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm PM sessions are scheduled correctly and review historical frame-loss statistics for an Ethernet service. It is deployed on Transition Networks carrier Ethernet platforms implementing Ethernet Services OAM PM. Engineers can download the TN-ETHSOAM-PM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TN-ETHSOAM-PM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
