Module: TN-CLEAR-MIB
OID (symbolic): TN-CLEAR-MIB::tnClearScalar1
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.13.101
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Unsigned32
Access: read-only
Description: A dummy scalar that satisfies a SNMP get request quickly when there is no 11QPE24 card provisioned. Otherwise, it has to traverse the remaining 11QPE24 MIB to get to the next applicable item.
What is tnClearScalar1?
This is a placeholder scalar with no operational meaning of its own, present purely so that an SNMP GET has something to quickly return. It exists so that on systems without an 11QPE24 card installed, a manager polling the MIB gets an immediate response instead of having to traverse the rest of the 11QPE24-specific MIB tree searching for the next valid object. For example, an SNMP walk that would otherwise stall probing absent 11QPE24 objects instead returns this scalar's value, typically 0, and moves on.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.13.101 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TN-CLEAR-MIB::tnClearScalar1
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.13.101.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TN-CLEAR-MIB::tnClearScalar1.1
