tnCesProtocolEnableSSRCChecking

Module: TN-CES-MIB

OID (symbolic): TN-CES-MIB::tnCesProtocolEnableSSRCChecking

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.868.2.5.60.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Whether to check the RTP SSRC value on received packets. Disabling the check can be useful in aiding compatibility with equipment from other vendors. Only used when tnCesProtocolType is ipUdpRtp.

What is tnCesProtocolEnableSSRCChecking?

Enables or disables validation of the RTP SSRC (synchronization source) field on incoming TDM-over-IP packets, only relevant when tnCesProtocolType is ipUdpRtp. Disabling this check can help interoperate with other vendors' CES gear that renumbers or omits SSRC values unexpectedly, at the cost of losing that stream-identity sanity check.
