tnBfdAdminControlApply
Module: TN-BFD-MIB
OID (symbolic): TN-BFD-MIB::tnBfdAdminControlApply
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7483.6.1.2.85.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object controls the use of tnBfdAdminValueObjects tables.
This object always reads none(1).
When set to initialize(2), the objects in tnBfdAdminValueObjects tables are set to the current Operational values, from the corresponding tnBfdOperValueObjects tables. Any uncommitted changes are lost, so setting this value corresponds to both BEGIN-TRANSACTION and ABORT-TRANSACTION.
When set to commit(3) (END-TRANSACTION), all of the objects from tnBfdAdminValueObjects tables are copied to the corresponding tnBfdOperValueObjects table objects.
What is tnBfdAdminControlApply?
This read-write INTEGER, which always reads back none(1), acts as a transaction control for the BFD admin template tables: writing initialize(2) loads the current operational values into the admin tables and discards any uncommitted edits (acting as both BEGIN- and ABORT-TRANSACTION), while writing commit(3) copies the admin table values into the operational BFD template tables (END-TRANSACTION). Admins use this two-step admin/operational model to stage multiple BFD timer changes and apply them atomically rather than one object at a time. For example, an admin would write initialize(2), edit several tnBfdAdminTemplate* values, then write commit(3) to push all the changes into effect together.
