tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner
Module: TIMETRA-ROUTE-NEXT-HOP-TEMPLATE-MIB
OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-ROUTE-NEXT-HOP-TEMPLATE-MIB::tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.90.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TNamedItemOrEmpty
Access: read-write
Description: The value of tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner specifies who has last initialized the configuration tables, who is making all the changes, and who is expected to either commit or re-initialize (abort) the transaction.
tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner is advisory only. Before beginning a transaction, read tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner. If it is empty then proceed with the configuration. Set tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner after setting tmnxRouteNHAdminControlApply so that other users will be advised to not make changes to the tables.
The agent automatically sets tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner to an empty string after tmnxRouteNHAdminControlApply is set, either by the user re-initializing or committing, or by the agent timing out the uncommitted transaction.
What is tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner?
This object identifies who has initiated an in-progress configuration transaction on the route next-hop template tables, so other admins know changes are underway. Before starting a transaction, an admin should read this object; if empty, it's safe to proceed, and after beginning changes they should set it to their own identifier so other operators are warned not to make conflicting edits. An admin might set tmnxRouteNHAdminOwner to "jsmith" before editing next-hop templates, so a colleague checking this object knows not to make simultaneous changes.
