This read-only object contains the upper 32 bits of a 64-bit counter that tracks egress queue dropped octets (bytes) for out-of-profile traffic on Alcatel 7x50 ports. It works in conjunction with a lower 32-bit counter to provide a complete measurement of dropped out-of-profile traffic in the network egress direction. Network operators use this to monitor traffic policing and shaping effectiveness, identifying congestion points and overly aggressive QoS policies.
