This counter provides the high-order 32 bits of the egress VP (virtual path) level forwarded packet count, used for tracking very large packet counts exceeding 32-bit capacity on a Nokia port. Together with the low-order bits from another object, it enables counting of packets forwarded from virtual paths in gigapacket-per-second environments. An operator uses this high-capacity counter for accurate traffic accounting on high-speed ports.
