This counter measures the number of octets (bytes) that exceeded a configured threshold limit on the egress queue class 8 traffic shaper for a particular port since the last read. The shaper uses this monitoring capability to track which traffic classes are consuming more bandwidth than their reserved limits. Operators use this to detect traffic overages, adjust class allocations, or identify sources of congestion.
