This counter represents the lower 32 bits of a 64-bit counter tracking the total number of packets successfully forwarded by an ingress scheduler on a Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent port. Combined with a corresponding high bits counter, it provides a complete 64-bit packet count for traffic passing through the ingress scheduling stage. Network operators monitor this to verify that scheduled traffic is being forwarded at expected rates.
