Description: The value of tmnxOtuIfHoldTimeDown is used to configure the hold-timer for link down event dampening. This guards against reporting excessive interface transitions. This is implemented by not advertising subsequent transitions of the interface to upper layer protocols until the configured timer has expired.

A value of zero (0) indicates that an up transition is reported immediately.

What is tmnxOtuIfHoldTimeDown?

An obsolete hold-timer, in units of 100ms, that used to dampen how quickly a link-down transition on this OTU interface was reported upstream, with 0 meaning report immediately; this object has been superseded and should no longer be configured in current deployments.
