Module: TIMETRA-CHASSIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-CHASSIS-MIB::tmnxEqSyncIfTimingRef1Quality

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.2.1.0.56

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Generated when there is a change of the received quality level on timing reference 1.

What is tmnxEqSyncIfTimingRef1Quality?

This is a notification (SNMP trap) that is generated when the quality level of received timing reference 1 changes on a chassis synchronization interface. Network operators use this alarm to monitor the health and stability of the primary timing source and to detect degradation of timing quality that could affect synchronization across the network.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-CHASSIS-MIB::tmnxEqSyncIfTimingRef1Quality
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.2.1.0.56

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
