Description: Generated when there is a change of the received quality level on the second bits interface.

What is tmnxEqSyncIfTimingBITS2Quality?

This SNMP trap is generated whenever the quality level of the received signal on the second BITS (Building Integrated Timing Supply) interface changes. The notification includes the new quality level value to indicate improvement or degradation. Operators monitor this alarm to detect timing source quality variations and trigger timing failover procedures when needed.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-CHASSIS-MIB::tmnxEqSyncIfTimingBITS2Quality
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.2.1.0.59

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
