tmnxBfdAdminControlApply

Module: TIMETRA-BFD-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-BFD-MIB::tmnxBfdAdminControlApply

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.85.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object controls the use of tmnxBfdAdminValueObjects tables.

This object always reads none(1).

When set to initialize(2), the objects in tmnxBfdAdminValueObjects tables are set to the current Operational values, from the corresponding tmnxBfdOperValueObjects tables. Any uncommitted changes are lost, so setting this value corresponds to both BEGIN-TRANSACTION and ABORT-TRANSACTION.

When set to commit(3) (END-TRANSACTION), all of the objects from tmnxBfdAdminValueObjects tables are copied to the corresponding tmnxBfdOperValueObjects table objects.

What is tmnxBfdAdminControlApply?

This object controls the BFD admin/oper table transaction workflow: it always reads none(1), setting it to initialize(2) copies current operational values into the admin tables and discards any uncommitted changes, and setting it to commit(3) copies the admin table values into the operational tables. Admins use initialize(2) to begin a fresh editing session or abort one, and commit(3) to apply staged BFD template changes into effect. Setting this to commit(3) after editing entries in tmnxBfdAdminTemplateTable pushes those changes into the live tmnxBfdOperTemplateTable.
