What is tApsExerciseCommandResult?

This value reports the result of the last APS exercise command issued on the specified APS group and channel: passed(1), failed(2), preempted(3), or unknown(4) if no exercise command has been issued since initialization. An admin reads this after running a periodic protection-switch exercise test to confirm the APS group's failover mechanism is actually functional without performing a real switchover. A value of failed(2) after an exercise command warns the admin that the protection group might not actually fail over correctly if a real fault occurred.
