Description: Defines Teldat router ARLY (early warning) event trap notifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-TRAP-ARLY-MIB?

TELDAT-TRAP-ARLY-MIB is a Teldat proprietary, notification-only SNMP MIB that defines the trap varbinds emitted by the router's ARLY (early-warning) event subsystem. It groups numbered event definitions (arly1 through arly13, under arlyEventsGroup/arlyNotifications) carrying free-form message and data-payload fields, size fields, state/event codes, and account identifiers. Operationally this is a fault/early-warning monitor: it lets a management station be alerted asynchronously to internal warning conditions - flagged by state changes, sized data payloads, or account-related events - that the device's early-warning logic has detected, serving as a software-health signal for conditions the vendor considered worth surfacing proactively before they become outages. As with Teldat's other TRAP-* modules it depends on the standard SNMPv2-SMI/SNMPv2-TC notification conventions and Teldat's private enterprise OID tree. It is deployed on Teldat routers reporting to a central SNMP trap receiver for early detection of developing problems, typically configured with a TELDAT-TRAP-ARLY-MIB MIB Browser session used to decode the numbered arly event varbinds as they arrive.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-ARLY-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teldat router

Monitoring Examples

This module defines only notification objects and their varbinds rather than a polled table, so there is no GET-based monitoring scenario; it is trap-only in nature. An SNMP trap receiver would inspect fields such as arly8-state and arly8-event together to determine what internal condition changed state, or arly12-account/arly13-account to correlate a warning with a specific account context, using arly3-message/arly6-message for the accompanying human-readable description.

What Can Be Monitored

  • early-warning alarm state/event transitions
  • early-warning message and data payloads
  • account-related early-warning events
