Description: Current protocol state. The possible values of the variable are integer numbers between 0 and 9. Each number is related to a feasible state: (0) initial, (1) starting, (2) closed, (3) stopped, (4) closing, (5) stopping, (6) req-sent, (7) ack-rcvd, (8) ack-sent, (9) opened.

What is telProdNpMonIfcPPPLCPCtrlGloState?

Reports the current LCP protocol state as one of ten values: initial(0), starting(1), closed(2), stopped(3), closing(4), stopping(5), req-sent(6), ack-rcvd(7), ack-sent(8), or opened(9). This is the single most important LCP field for an admin to poll, since only opened(9) means the underlying link is actually up and passing traffic; a link stuck at req-sent(6) for an extended period indicates the far end is not responding to LCP negotiation.
