Description: The sensor ID.

What is sensID?

This value is a numeric identifier assigned to one sensor entry in the HWg-STE device's sensor table. An admin uses it to distinguish this specific sensor probe from the others reported over SNMP when a unit has multiple sensors attached. For example, sensID might report the value 3 for the third temperature or humidity probe plugged into the device, letting monitoring software tag alerts to the correct physical sensor.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.21796.4.1.3.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> STE-MIB::sensID

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.21796.4.1.3.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> STE-MIB::sensID.1
