sonusServProfileDPktMaxNetworkJitter

Module: SONUS-NODE-RESOURCES-MIB

OID (symbolic): SONUS-NODE-RESOURCES-MIB::sonusServProfileDPktMaxNetworkJitter

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2879.2.2.2.1.1.2.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This field is deprecated. Specifies the maximum expected network jitter across the network for data calls in increments of 125usec. This value defines the size of the initial playout buffer required to absorb the maximum expected packet delay across the network. A separate value for data calls is provided to allow a single service profile to specify the jitter buffer size for both voice calls and data calls. The minimum value is 40 (5msec) and the maximum value is 400 (50msec), with a default value of 400 (50msec).

What is sonusServProfileDPktMaxNetworkJitter?

A deprecated field sizing the initial jitter/playout buffer specifically for data calls on a legacy service profile, in units of 125 microseconds (40-400, default 400 = 50ms) - a separate, larger default than the voice-call jitter buffer (sonusServProfileVPktMaxNetworkJitter, default 80 = 10ms), since data calls tolerate more latency.
