sleRedControlFaultCrashAction
Module: SLE-RED-MIB
OID (symbolic): SLE-RED-MIB::sleRedControlFaultCrashAction
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6296.101.22.1.2.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SleRedFaultActionType
Access: read-write
Description: If any software module is crashed, the given action is taken. For 'switchover' action, if the board is active and a standby board is available, 'switchover' is carried out.
If a standby board is not available, just warning message is left. If it is a standby board, 'reset' is carried out.
What is sleRedControlFaultCrashAction?
This object configures the action taken when a software module crashes, mirroring the read-only sleRedFaultCrashAction but allowing an admin to change it: switchover if the crashed module is on an active board with an available standby, a warning if no standby exists, or a reset if it's already the standby board. Admins adjust this setting to tune how aggressively the system responds to software crashes. For example, setting sleRedControlFaultCrashAction to 'switchover' ensures a crash on the active board automatically hands control to the standby rather than requiring manual intervention.
