slaMonitorAgentRefuseServerTests

Module: SLA-MONITOR-MIB

OID (symbolic): SLA-MONITOR-MIB::slaMonitorAgentRefuseServerTests

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.4.8.1.1.31

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value of this attribute determines whether the SLA Monitor agent will refuse test requests from the server. When this attribute is set to 'allow(1)', an agent will accept test requests from the server. A 'refuse(2)' setting will cause the agent to reject test requests from the server.

From a usage perspective, it may be necessary to temporarily refuse server test requests if the agent is being actively managed by a server but the administrator wishes to use the CLI or SNMP interfaces to initiate tests manually.

What is slaMonitorAgentRefuseServerTests?

This read-write value lets an admin temporarily block the SLA Monitor server from initiating tests on this agent: allow(1) accepts server-initiated tests as normal, refuse(2) rejects them. An admin who wants to run tests manually via CLI or SNMP without the server interrupting would set this to refuse(2) during that window.
