slaMonitorAgentConfiguredServerAddr

Module: SLA-MONITOR-MIB

OID (symbolic): SLA-MONITOR-MIB::slaMonitorAgentConfiguredServerAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.4.8.1.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InetAddress

Access: read-write

Description: The IP address of the SLA Monitor server with which the agent is allowed to register. If the value of this attribute is not 0.0.0.0, the SLA Monitor agent may only respond to server requests originating at the specified IP address (or the IP address specified by the slaMonitorAgentConfiguredAltServerAddr object if it is non-zero).

What is slaMonitorAgentConfiguredServerAddr?

This read-write value restricts which SLA Monitor server the agent is allowed to register with; if left at 0.0.0.0 any server can register the agent, but a specific address here means the agent only responds to that server (or the alternate configured in slaMonitorAgentConfiguredAltServerAddr). An admin hardening the agent against rogue servers on the network would lock this down to their known management server's address.
