muxIfWaveSpacing

Module: SL-MUX-MIB

OID (symbolic): SL-MUX-MIB::muxIfWaveSpacing

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4515.1.5.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The spacing between two adjacent optical channels in GHz units.

What is muxIfWaveSpacing?

This read-only enumerated value reports the channel spacing between adjacent optical wavelengths on the mux interface, such as 100 GHz or 50 GHz for DWDM, or a 20 nm spacing for CWDM. An administrator uses it to confirm the mux's grid type matches the optical plan for the fiber link, since mismatched spacing between mux and transponder breaks the wavelength plan. A value of ghz50(4) indicates a dense 50 GHz DWDM grid capable of packing many channels onto one fiber.
