The value copyingToStandby(3) means that the SW is currently being copied to the Standby Switch. During this period the NMS is not allowed to upgrade the SW version. This value is applicable only to the Standby software version. The value invalid(2) means otherwise. This value is applicable only to the Standby software version.

What is slmSwRevStatus?

This value reports the status of a system software directory (A or B): valid (loaded correctly and currently in use), invalid, or copyingToStandby (software is being copied to the standby switch and the NMS should not attempt an upgrade during this window), the latter two applying only to the standby version. An admin checks this before initiating a software upgrade to confirm the standby slot isn't already mid-copy.
