Description: Nokia Siemens Networks SHE DSLAM textual conventions module defining shared enumeration types for control status, admin/oper state, card types, and permissions used across SHE MIBs
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SHE-TC-MIB?
SHE-TC-MIB is a Nokia Siemens Networks textual-conventions module for the SHE DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) product family, defining shared enumerated types used across the SHE MIB suite. It provides common data types for control status, administrative/operational state, card type identification, and user permission levels, which dependent SHE MIBs reference rather than redefining. Because it contains only type definitions and no scalars or tables of its own, it exposes no hardware or software status data directly (no uptime, temperature, or CPU/memory objects), though its admin/oper-state and card-type enumerations are the building blocks that functional SHE MIBs use to report line-card and port status. The SHE-TC-MIB MIB file must be compiled first so that these dependent SHE DSLAM modules resolve their admin/oper-state enumerations correctly. It is a required definitional dependency for every other SHE-branded MIB module in the Nokia Siemens Networks DSLAM suite, and it is deployed as a prerequisite compile-time MIB wherever Nokia Siemens Networks SHE DSLAM access equipment is managed via SNMP.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SHE-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
SHE-TC-MIB has no sample objects because it is a pure textual-conventions module; it defines the admin/oper-state and card-type enumerations that dependent SHE DSLAM MIBs use to type their line-card and port status objects. There is no standalone monitoring scenario — it must be loaded so that the actual DSLAM functional MIBs' status objects resolve to the correct enumerated values.
