What is qamChannelAnnexMode?
This read-only enumerated object reports which ITU-T J.83 annex standard, annexA(3), annexB(4), or annexC(5), a QAM channel is using, or unknown(1)/other(2). Admins check this to confirm the channel matches the modulation standard expected for its region and service type, since North American cable systems typically use Annex B while European systems use Annex A. For example, seeing annexB confirms this QAM channel is configured for the North American DOCSIS/digital video standard rather than the European Annex A standard.
