mpegOutputProgCaDescr

Module: SCTE-HMS-MPEG-MIB

OID (symbolic): SCTE-HMS-MPEG-MIB::mpegOutputProgCaDescr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5591.1.11.5.4.1.1.2.4.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Conditional access descriptor is used to specify both system-wide conditional access management information such as EMMS and elementary stream-specific information such as ECMs. If any elementary stream is scrambled, a CA descriptor shall be present for the program containing that elementary stream. This object specifies the CA descriptor for this program. If the outgoing program does not have an associated CA descriptor, then this object has a zero-length string.

What is mpegOutputProgCaDescr?

mpegOutputProgCaDescr holds the conditional-access descriptor for this outgoing program, returned as a zero-length string when the program has no associated CA descriptor. An operator troubleshooting a channel that won't descramble on subscriber devices would check whether this descriptor is actually populated as expected.
