raid7LinkStatus
Module: SCCRAID7-PROXY-MIB
OID (symbolic): SCCRAID7-PROXY-MIB::raid7LinkStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1386.2.2.2.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: This object indicates the status of the serial link to the RAID7: operational indicates that the device is open and frames are being received from the RAID7. openfailed indicates that there is a problem local to the agent that is preventing the agent process from opening; see the log file on the agent system. quiet indicates that the port was opened, but no data is being received from the RAID7.
What is raid7LinkStatus?
This read-only enumerated value reports the state of the serial link to the RAID7 array: operational(1) meaning frames are being received, openfailed(2) meaning a local agent problem prevented the port from opening, or quiet(3) meaning the port opened but no data is arriving. Admins check it first when troubleshooting missing RAID7 data, since it distinguishes a local agent fault from a dead link to the array. A status of quiet(3) tells the admin the serial port opened fine but the RAID7 array itself has stopped sending data, pointing at the array or cable rather than the agent host.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1386.2.2.2.2 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SCCRAID7-PROXY-MIB::raid7LinkStatus
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.1386.2.2.2.2.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SCCRAID7-PROXY-MIB::raid7LinkStatus.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> raid7LinkStatus.1
