Module: SALIX-M4-MIB

OID (symbolic): SALIX-M4-MIB::salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPartnerModule

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2158.2.5.1.3.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: PhysicalIndex

Access: read-write

Description: When retrieved, this attributes represents the current partner module of a pair of plugins that are in redundancy relationship. This attribute is only valid when the 'salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyConfig' attribute is set to either 'working' or 'protect'.

Writing to this object can either create a redundancy pair (if one doesn't already exist) or can cause a manual changeover of the working module (if there is a new value written).

NOTE: It is only necessary to set the information on one of plug-in units entries. The information will be automatically set in the other entry by the system.

What is salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPartnerModule?

This read-write object identifies the PhysicalIndex of the partner plug-in unit paired with this one in a 1:1 redundancy relationship, valid only when salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyConfig is set to working or protect. Writing a new value can either establish a fresh redundancy pairing between two modules or manually trigger a changeover to a different partner, and the system automatically mirrors the pairing information onto the partner's own table entry. Setting salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPartnerModule to the PhysicalIndex of a spare module, along with setting salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyConfig to protect, would establish that spare as the protect partner for this working unit.
