salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPairStatus

Module: SALIX-M4-MIB

OID (symbolic): SALIX-M4-MIB::salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPairStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2158.2.5.1.3.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute reflects the status of the redundant plug-in unit pair: none(1) - indicates that a 1:1 redundant pair does not exist with this plug-in unit.

created(2) - indicates that a 1:1 redundant pair was created between this plug-in unit and the plug-in unit identified by the 'salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPartnerModule'.

configured(3) indicates that the working module identified by this 1:1 redundant pair is operational.

active(4) - indicates that 1:1 redundancy is active. This state is entered if both redundant plug-in units are physically installed with administrative and operational status as 'up'.

What is salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPairStatus?

This read-only object reports the overall status of this plug-in unit's redundancy pairing: none if no 1:1 pair exists, created once a pair has been established, configured once the working module is operational, or active once both units in the pair are physically installed and administratively and operationally up. Admins use it to confirm a configured redundancy pair has actually reached the fully active state, rather than merely being logically paired without both physical modules present and healthy. A salixAtmfM4PlugInUnitRedundancyPairStatus of configured(3) rather than active(4) would tell the admin the redundancy pair is set up and the working module is operational, but the protect module isn't yet fully up, so true 1:1 protection isn't active.
