hneSysHsfWorking
Module: SALIX-HNE-MIB
OID (symbolic): SALIX-HNE-MIB::hneSysHsfWorking
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2158.3.1.1.1.1.3.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: PhysicalIndex
Access: read-write
Description: The PhysicalIndex of the Hybrid Switch Fabric (HSF) module plug-in unit that is performing switching in the HNE. Writing a new value to this variable will:
- update the hneHsfProtect object with the current value of the hneHsfWorking object and
- activate the specified HSF module to start performing ATM and TDM switching in the system.
A value of 0 indicates that there is no operational switch fabric installed in the HNE. Writing zero, an invalid index, or the current value to this object will have no effect.
If the working HSF module fails, the system will automatically switch to the HSF module specified in the hneHsfProtect object.
What is hneSysHsfWorking?
Read-write PhysicalIndex identifying which Hybrid Switch Fabric (HSF) module plug-in unit is currently performing ATM and TDM switching for the box; writing a new value promotes that module and updates hneSysHsfProtect with the prior working value. A value of 0 means no operational switch fabric is installed, and if the working module fails the system automatically switches to the module named in hneSysHsfProtect.
