Description: Manages DVB-T transmitter configuration, RF parameters, and status for Rohde and Schwarz SX8000.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RS-XX8000-DVB-TX-MIB?

RS-XX8000-DVB-TX-MIB is a Rohde & Schwarz proprietary MIB (companion to RS-COMMON-MIB/RS-XX8000-COMMON-MIB) for the XX8000/NetCCU800 series DVB television transmitter systems, covering SingleTx, DualDrive, and Active/Passive Reserve redundancy configurations. Its command table exposes transmitter-control actions — reset summary fault, load/save/re-save parameter sets, switch between program and reserve operation mode, select automatic exciter/output-stage mode, RF switch control, and per-exciter automatic-input-mode/preselect commands. As a hardware-control/status MIB it lets a broadcast engineer remotely switch a DVB transmitter between primary and reserve exciters/output stages and clear fault conditions. It is deployed on Rohde & Schwarz XX8000/NetCCU800 series DVB transmitter systems. Engineers can download the RS-XX8000-DVB-TX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RS-XX8000-DVB-TX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Rohde & Schwarz XX8000/NetCCU800 series DVB transmitter systems

Monitoring Examples

A broadcast engineer issues cmdTxOperationModeReserve to fail a DVB transmitter over to its reserve exciter/output stage during scheduled maintenance on the primary chain, then confirms fault state via cmdTxResetSumFault once maintenance completes.

What Can Be Monitored

  • transmitter operation mode
  • fault/reserve switchover status
