What Is RFC1215-DEFINING-TRAPS?
RFC1215-DEFINING-TRAPS is a vendor-neutral IETF standards document/MIB that specifies the conventions and macro format (the TRAP-TYPE macro) used to define SNMPv1 trap notifications, rather than defining any device-specific management objects. It is a purely definitional/syntactic module establishing how trap notifications are structured in SMIv1-based MIBs, with no monitorable runtime data of its own.
