baseErrorLog

Module: RETIX-SWITCHSTAKII-MIB

OID (symbolic): RETIX-SWITCHSTAKII-MIB::baseErrorLog

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.72.20.2.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: A stored value indicating that the unit has experienced a fault. Log information is formatted as a four digit hex number. Set to zero to clear the logged fault. Record this value and call Retix technical support.

What is baseErrorLog?

This read-write integer stores a fault code the unit has logged, formatted as a four-digit hex number, which the admin can clear by setting it to zero. Admins read it after noticing a unit fault, record the hex value, and report it to Retix technical support for diagnosis before clearing the log. For example, an admin seeing baseErrorLog return 0x1A3F would record that code, contact support with it, and then set the object to 0 to clear the logged fault.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.72.20.2.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> RETIX-SWITCHSTAKII-MIB::baseErrorLog

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.72.20.2.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> RETIX-SWITCHSTAKII-MIB::baseErrorLog.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.72.20.2.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> baseErrorLog.1
