What Is RBN-SUBAGENT-CAP?
RBN-SUBAGENT-CAP is a Redback Networks (later Ericsson SmartEdge) AGENT-CAPABILITIES module documenting how the SmartEdge series BRAS SNMP master agent implements the AgentX subagent-extensibility protocol. As a capabilities module, it does not define its own runtime data objects but instead declares which AgentX-related MIB variations and groups the master agent supports. It has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software runtime status (uptime, CPU, temperature, etc.); it exists purely to describe protocol conformance for subagent registration. It depends entirely on the AgentX Protocol MIB (RFC 2742/2741), whose implementation it documents. It is typically referenced internally by NMS/MIB-compiling tools validating SmartEdge SNMP agent behavior rather than polled operationally. Engineers can download the RBN-SUBAGENT-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-SUBAGENT-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is a conformance/capabilities module with no runtime data objects (sample_objects is empty), so there is no realistic monitoring scenario to describe; it simply documents which AgentX master-agent features the SmartEdge platform's SNMP implementation supports.
