What Is RBN-IETF-BGP4V2-CAP?
RBN-IETF-BGP4V2-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module stating which objects/groups of the standard IETF BGP4 MIB are implemented on Ericsson SmartEdge SE/SM/SSR platforms for a given SEOS software release. As an AGENT-CAPABILITIES declaration it defines no BGP peer or route objects itself — actual BGP peering state, AS numbers, and route counts are exposed by the underlying BGP4 MIB it describes. Its sole purpose is conformance metadata mapping supported groups of that BGP MIB to Ericsson product families and versions, so it depends entirely on the companion BGP4 MIB and the standard AGENT-CAPABILITIES macro. It is consumed by NMS/MIB-compiler tooling validating SNMP support on Ericsson SmartEdge routers, not used for live BGP peer monitoring itself. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the RBN-IETF-BGP4V2-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
