Category: Vendor: RADLAN/Cisco SB

Description: Manages iSCSI traffic optimization and flow control settings on Marvell switch ports.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RADLAN-iscsi-MIB?

RADLAN-iscsi-MIB is a Radlan (Marvell) proprietary MIB implementing iSCSI snooping, a switch feature that inspects iSCSI session-establishment traffic to automatically apply QoS to iSCSI target/initiator flows. Its objects cover a global enable flag and aging timeout, a QoS-parameter table (key/type/value/remark), and target/initiator name tables recording discovered iSCSI names per configured target/initiator. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm iSCSI snooping has correctly discovered the expected initiators and targets and is applying the intended QoS remarking. It is deployed on Radlan/Marvell-based OEM switch platforms. Engineers can download the RADLAN-iscsi-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADLAN-iscsi-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Radlan/Marvell-based OEM switch platforms

Monitoring Examples

A storage-network administrator checks rlIscsiSnoopTargetNameTable to confirm the switch has correctly discovered an iSCSI target's name via snooping before relying on automatic QoS prioritization for that storage traffic.

What Can Be Monitored
