rldot1dStpHelloTime

Module: RADLAN-BRIDGEMIBOBJECTS-MIB

OID (symbolic): RADLAN-BRIDGEMIBOBJECTS-MIB::rldot1dStpHelloTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.57.2.6.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Timeout

Access: read-only

Description:

The amount of time between the transmission of Configuration bridge PDUs by this node on any port when it is the root of the spanning tree or trying to become so, in units of hundredths of a second. This is the actual value that this bridge is currently using.

What is rldot1dStpHelloTime?

This OID specifies how often the switch sends topology update messages when it's the root bridge, measured in hundredths of a second. Lower values make the network react faster to topology changes but consume more bandwidth; higher values reduce overhead but delay failover. A network engineer would adjust this when tuning the spanning tree protocol for fast or stable convergence.
