Category: RADIUS and AAA

Description: Provides vendor-private extensions for RADIUS client configuration and statistics on Quanta devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RADIUS-CLIENT-PRIVATE-MIB?

RADIUS-CLIENT-PRIVATE-MIB is a Quanta Computer (QCI) proprietary MIB configuring the RADIUS authentication client on Quanta-based network switches. Its objects cover global retransmit/timeout settings and an accounting-mode toggle, alongside separate RADIUS accounting-server and authentication-server configuration tables (each recording server address, port, shared secret, row status, and, for authentication servers, primary/current active-mode indication and message-authenticator support). As a configuration/security-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which RADIUS server is currently active and audit shared-secret/timeout settings when troubleshooting failed logins. It is deployed on Quanta-based (QCI) managed switches. Engineers can download the RADIUS-CLIENT-PRIVATE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADIUS-CLIENT-PRIVATE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Quanta-based (QCI) managed switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks agentRadiusServerCurrentMode to confirm which RADIUS server a switch has failed over to, after the primary authentication server stopped responding.

What Can Be Monitored

  • RADIUS server configuration and current active-server state
