What is mpeAlarmRelayInputContactState?
This deprecated, notification-only ContactState indicates whether an alarm relay input contact is open or closed; the MIB notes it has been superseded by mpeAlarmRelayTable and mpeAlarmRelayInputStateChanged. Admins seeing this in older trap data would interpret a closed state as an external alarm condition (such as a door sensor or environmental contact) being triggered. For instance, a transition to closed on a door-sensor input would signal a cabinet was opened.
