Description: This variable is the index of the equipment whose alarms are being relayed. It is a integer number starting from 1 until the max number of physical connectors the DSLAM device has to support relay.

NOTE: This object has been deprecated. Please consider using the mpeAlarmRelayTable and mpeAlarmRelayInputStateChanged objects.

What is mpeAlarmRelayEquipIndex?

This deprecated, notification-only Integer32 identifies the equipment whose alarms are being relayed, numbered from 1 up to the DSLAM's supported relay connector count; the MIB notes it has been superseded by mpeAlarmRelayTable and mpeAlarmRelayInputStateChanged. Admins encountering this in legacy trap data should treat it as the connector number that raised an alarm relay event. For example, a value of 2 identifies the second alarm relay connector as the source of a relayed alarm.
