Module: PDN-HEALTHANDSTATUS-MIB

OID (symbolic): PDN-HEALTHANDSTATUS-MIB::devAbortStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1795.2.24.2.4.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-only

Description: Abort Status. The devAbortStatus object is used to retrieve the latest abort status that is stored in the agent. The agent will need to save the latest abort information in non-volatile memory so that it will be available immediately after a fatal reset. How long the latest failure information is remembered after this point is an implementation issue. Refer to device-specific user documentation for a complete description of the abort codes and/or messages.

What is devAbortStatus?

This string reports the latest abort status the device recorded, persisted in non-volatile memory so it remains available immediately after a fatal reset. Admins retrieve it after an unexpected device crash or reset to understand what caused the fatal condition, since the agent deliberately preserves this information across the reset. A returned abort code following an unexpected outage tells the admin the specific failure reason recorded just before the device went down, per the device-specific abort code documentation.
