Module: PANDATEL-GMSF-MODEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): PANDATEL-GMSF-MODEM-MIB::mdmRemoteAccessMode

Description: The remote access mode: 'disable', 'via-next-free-timeslot', 'via-timeslot-0-Sa4-bit', or 'via-hdsl-channel'. The value 'via-next-free-timeslot' means that one time slot higher than the last data time slot is used for remote access. The value 'via-timeslot-0-Sa4-bit' means that the sa4-bit in time slot 0 is used for remote access The remote unit's configuration changes simultaneously.

What is mdmRemoteAccessMode?

This read-write value chooses how remote management access to the far-end unit is carried over the link: disable(2), via-next-free-timeslot(3) using the timeslot just above the last data slot, via-timeslot-0-Sa4-bit(4) using a signaling bit in timeslot 0, or via-hdsl-channel(7); the remote unit's own configuration changes to match. An admin picks via-hdsl-channel or via-timeslot-0-Sa4-bit to retain the ability to manage the remote converter without consuming a data timeslot.
