What is mdmLineAlarmCondition?
This object configures what condition triggers an alarm on the modem's line (fiber/WAN-facing) port, offering options ranging from disable(2), to alarms on link loss, laser diode failure, or either condition combined. Admins set this to catch fiber-side faults specifically, distinguishing a dead link from a failed laser transmitter. For example, setting mdmLineAlarmCondition to no-link-signal-or-laser-fail(5) ensures an alarm fires whether the fiber link goes down or the modem's own laser diode fails.
