mdmForcedRemoteAccess

Module: PANDATEL-ETC-MODEM-MIB

OID (symbolic): PANDATEL-ETC-MODEM-MIB::mdmForcedRemoteAccess

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.760.1.1.2.1.10.901.1.1.65

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Activation of remote management: 'on' or 'off'. Status 'on' enables management of remote unit. During this process the link is restricted to management data. The transmission of user data is interrupted. Status 'off' disables management of remote unit. The link transmits user data.

What is mdmForcedRemoteAccess?

This object activates or deactivates a forced remote-management session on the link, with on(2) enabling management of the remote unit while interrupting normal user data transmission, and off(1) restoring normal user data flow. Admins use this temporarily when they need to reach and configure the far-end modem, understanding that doing so will disrupt live traffic on the link. For example, setting mdmForcedRemoteAccess to on(2) to troubleshoot a remote modem will pause user data transmission on that link for the duration of the management session.
