pgIISPRouteAddrType

Module: PAIRGAIN-IISP-MIB

OID (symbolic): PAIRGAIN-IISP-MIB::pgIISPRouteAddrType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.927.1.9.13.1.1.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The type (e.g. internal or exterior) of reachability from the advertising node to the address prefix.

Reject(2) refers to an address prefix which, if matched, indicates that the message should be discarded as unreachable. This is used in some protocols as a means of correctly aggregating routes.

What is pgIISPRouteAddrType?

This object classifies the nature of reachability for this route entry: other(1) if unspecified, reject(2) meaning matching traffic should be discarded as unreachable (useful for aggregating routes), internal(3) for routes within the local network, or exterior(4), the default, for routes to external networks. An admin sets reject(2) to explicitly black-hole a summarized but partially unreachable address range rather than leaving it unlisted. Leaving the default exterior(4) reflects a normal route to an outside network reachable via this node.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.927.1.9.13.1.1.2.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> PAIRGAIN-IISP-MIB::pgIISPRouteAddrType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.927.1.9.13.1.1.2.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> PAIRGAIN-IISP-MIB::pgIISPRouteAddrType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.927.1.9.13.1.1.2.1.6.1 i <value>
