What Is ORAINTERCHANGE-MIB?

This MIB module is specific to Oracle InterChange, an enterprise application integration/workflow middleware product, and it exposes SNMP visibility into the health of its integration server processes. It provides data on interchange process configuration, such as configuration directory and contact information, and on the "Navigator" component's runtime status, logging, and tracing configuration. Administrators use it to monitor the software status of the InterChange server, including whether the Navigator process is running (oraNavigatorRunningTime), its logging level and log file destination, and trace level/file settings used for troubleshooting. It is a standalone Oracle enterprise MIB with no strong external MIB dependency evident from its objects, focused narrowly on this middleware product's internal state. It is typically deployed in enterprise IT environments running Oracle InterChange for B2B or application integration workflows, where operators need to confirm the integration engine and its process/queue statistics remain healthy. Engineers can download the ORAINTERCHANGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll oraInterchgTable (via oraInterchgEntry) to check oraInterchgConfigDirectory and contact information, confirming which configuration is active on a given InterChange server. Separately, polling oraNavigatorTable would reveal oraNavigatorRunningTime to confirm the Navigator process hasn't restarted unexpectedly, along with oraNavigatorLoggingLevel and oraNavigatorTraceLevel to verify diagnostic settings. A oraNavigatorRunningTime value that resets to a small number outside of a planned restart would indicate the process crashed and restarted, giving operators insight into both configuration and live process health of the integration middleware.
