NuView-MIB supports NuView Inc.'s network management platform, a topology discovery, polling, and event/fault correlation product, providing objects used by the platform to describe and forward trap-based event data about managed network resources. Rather than exposing hardware sensors itself, it defines a generic event/trap payload schema -- node name, cluster name, resource name and type, severity value, and network identifier -- plus event date/time stamps, used to relay status and fault information gathered from other monitored devices through the NuView server. Its monitoring value is therefore in fault/event correlation: severity values and resource-type/name fields let an operator determine which device or resource triggered an alert and how serious it is, functioning as a normalized alerting layer across a heterogeneous managed environment. It depends on the underlying device-specific MIBs whose raw data NuView polls and correlates, since this module is the event/wrapper layer rather than the source of hardware telemetry. It is deployed on the NuView management server itself, in NOC environments managing large multi-vendor networks. Engineers can download the NuView-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

An operator monitoring the NuView console would look at clxTrapDataResourceName and clxTrapDataResourceType to identify which managed device or resource generated an event, and clxTrapDataSeverityValue to prioritize response -- a high-severity trap tied to clxTrapDataClusterName would indicate a cluster-wide problem needing immediate attention. clxTrapEventDate/clxTrapEventTime provide the timestamp for correlating the event against other activity, and clxMibStatsVendorName/clxMibStatsMajRev/MinRev identify the NuView platform version generating the data.
