What Is NOKIA-NE3S-REGISTRATION-MIB?
NOKIA-NE3S-REGISTRATION-MIB is an OID registration module that reserves the enterprise subtree used by Nokia's NE3S network element management/surveillance product and module identifiers. It belongs to the Nokia network management technology area. Like other registration modules it defines no operational data objects, only the OID hierarchy other Nokia NE3S functional MIBs build on to number their products and modules. Consequently it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware/software status; management systems use the NOKIA-NE3S-REGISTRATION-MIB reference only to resolve which NE3S product or module a sysObjectID corresponds to, not to retrieve any operational value. It depends on the standard SNMPv2-SMI enterprise-number conventions under Nokia's IANA-assigned enterprise OID. It is deployed as a supporting module wherever Nokia NE3S-managed network elements are present in an operator's SNMP management infrastructure.
